Exchange 2003 permissions problem
Hi All, Scenario - existing Exchange 2003 organization with 10+ servers. I added a new EX2003 server and moved some mailboxes to it. I am of course an Exchange Full Administrator. Problem - I can not open any of their mailboxes. I can not open them with MAPI or OWA. If I try to create an OL profile, I repeatedly get prompted for a login to the server. If I try an explicit OWA login, I repeatedly get prompted. I have checked and rechecked permissions. I have searched Technet and the web for two days trying to find a solution.TIA

Hi Nakdad, In Exchange 2003, built-in administrator accounts and built-in administrative groups inherit the Allow permission together with the Deny permission for the Send As permission and for the Receive As permission. That means, by default, administrator can’t visit others’ mailboxes. I suggest you read the following article and refer to the steps to resolve the issue: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/292509 Thanks, Elvis
