I have the exact symptoms going on that this hotfix is supposed to resolve. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925376 My excdo.dll file is slightly newer than the one listed in this hotfix article. My question is do I apply it still? And if not, should I still make the registry entry change that it mentions? (to enable it)

Hello, It is not required to install hotfix if file is newer than mentioned in KB. However I would definitely try by enabling registries mentioned in KB since it can be roll-backed if required.
