Exchange 2003 search and indexing
Hi, I want to understand the relation between outlook advanced find and Exchange indexing. If don't have Exchange Indexing enabled, will advanced find work or not. In my case, I have disabled Exchange Full-indexing, but in advanced find I am able to see some results. These results are not accurate(I am mean it is not showing all results). I am just wondering from where Outlook advanced find will get the search results?Thanks,

Hi,
Full-text indexing allows your users to perform full-text searches across documents and attachments in messages that are stored in the mailbox database. In Outlook, cached Exchange mode doesnt use Full-text indexing, only online mode and OWA use it. I suggest you read the following articles:
