Exchange 2007, deleted account getting CC'd for calendar invites..
My boss has a mail flow setting that all mail to him was also delivered to one of his managers. Our HD department deleted her HAD account, and set the MB to delete. So the MB is not in the disconnected MB folder. Now when someone send a meeting request to my boss, they get an NDR like this. "Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists: Bilge Atilgan Diagnostic information for administrators: Generating server: NCSBCS2.domain.org IMCEAEX-_O=EXCHANGE_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=Batilgan@domain.org #550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found ## Original message headers: Received: from THORIM.domain.org ([192.168.25.5]) by NCSBCS2.domain.org ([192.168.25.14]) with mapi; Thu, 2 Aug 2012 23:58:14 -0400 Content-Type: application/ms-tnef; name="winmail.dat" Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary From: Shannon Rubin <srubin@domain.org> To: Stephanie Mabra <SMabra@domain.org>, Bilge Atilgan <IMCEAEX-_O=EXCHANGE_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=Batilgan@domain.org> Date: Thu, 2 Aug 2012 23:58:13 -0400 Subject: CAB meeting to discuss Freya motherboard replacement Thread-Topic: CAB meeting to discuss Freya motherboard replacement Thread-Index: Ac1xK6fis8zlUURORfOw/EzVZ3ykYAAAIsYw Message-ID: <A22577DC8584144BAB3A0AA9D17C7676023C9C392B@THORIM.domain.org> Accept-Language: en-US Content-Language: en-US X-MS-Has-Attach: X-MS-TNEF-Correlator: <A22577DC8584144BAB3A0AA9D17C7676023C9C392B@THORIM.domain.org> acceptlanguage: en-US MIME-Version: 1.0 " Someone already tried making a new account and reattaching the MB but that didn't help. I tried looking for the user using adsiedit.msc but I didn't find it. It's got to be in AD somewhere but what's the correct way to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I found this... http://www.simple-talk.com/sysadmin/exchange/exchange-e-mail-addresses-and-the-outlook-address-cache/ Which I think identifies at least partially my issue. The problem is, I think my boss would object to me adding back this ex-employees email address as an SMTP address to his account.

Your boss will still have the delete account user as a delegate, remove it then the issue will be resolved

You were right. It was something as simple as removing the delegaate using his client.
