Exchange 2007/OWA 2007 - Password change features with SP3?
Hi All Tried a post in the update section but to no avail. Running Exchange 2007 SP1 on W2K3 x64 and OWA 2007 on W2K3 x86 (IIS 6) Can someone please confirm the following with regards to the updated password change facility added by SP3 on OWA2007: 1. Full support extended ASCII, i.e. symbols, Unicode etc.. ? 2. Allow users to change passwords that have expired? 3. Allow the AD setting of 'change password at next logon' to be used? 4. Does SP3 install the new PW module on IIS6 i.e. W2K3? 5. Provides expiration is forthcoming warning (in days)? I'm sure 2 + 3 are implemented but cannot find evidence of 1,4 & 5. Cheers Lea

Hi LeaUK, Per my known, 1. It is not full supported When Basic authentication or forms-based authentication is used with Outlook Web Access, the Change Password feature may not work correctly when a user uses a password that uses extended ASCII or Unicode characters. This is the case because passwords that use extended ASCII or Unicode characters are not transmitted correctly between Internet Information Services (IIS) and some Web browsers. 4. Exchange 2007 SP3 adds a new feature to the Client Access server (CAS) role. This feature creates a new Internet Information Services (IIS) 7 module that detects expired passwords, and redirects users to a new change password page. By default, this feature is disabled. I think there is no for II6. 5. Sure, it would provides the warning.
