I have been told that the other calendar list in outlook is stored locally on the pc that outlook is installed on. However I can open outlook on my pc and open outlook on my laptop, make changes to the others calendar list on the pc and have it update automatically on the laptop. That tells me that the settings for the calendar list are stored on the exchange server. Can anyone tell me where to find the info about what (in particular the others calendar list) is stored on the exchange server and what is store in the local outlook profile.

I agree with John.Local outlook profile is also called *.ost file. An Offline Folder File(.ost) is used to keep a local copy of your Exchange Server mailbox on your computer.
