Exchange 2007/ Lotus Notes integration
My company is currently running Exchange 2007 SP1. Our email domain is budden.com, and this is an Accepted Domain within the Exchange Org Hub Transport config. Mail to/from the Internet uses an SMTP Gateway product, similar to the Edge. The Gateway
is called Gateway and uses its own LDAP directory (similar to ADAM).
We have a partner company running Lotus Notes (8 I think). Their email domain is notes.com
We will shortly be merging with the partner company. Rather than mail flow between the two companies using the Internet, we need to set up connectors between the two mail systems.
Longer term, the plan is that mail to both notes.com and budden.com will flow in via Gateway1. The Exchange Hubs will then route any mail to notes.com to the Lotus Notes system.
Complex? Yes. Confusing? Yes.... :)
But is it possible and how?

First of all, congratulations on simplifying your question!
I wish all threads cut it down to the core like you’ve done here!
This documentation has all the info (even screenshots on Notes) you’d need.

The focus of the doc is on using Microsoft’s Transporter Suite, but the configs for SMTP namespace sharing would be the same.
