Exchange 2007 - Clean Install Problem
I have a clean install of Server 2003 STD R2 x64 with SP2 and all critial and non critical updates. When I start to install Exchange Server 2007 I get this message. The Exchange Server is in an incosistent state. Only disaster recovery mode is available. There is not an Exchange server currently installed as this is a fresh install. I would understand this more if I had an information store or a dirty shutdown. Any help will be appreciated. Frank Askew VentureNet

You sure there hasn't been another install? Even a "Demo" gone bad? If you look in ADSIEdit, do you see a CN=Microsoft Exchange attribute? Configuration->CN=Services->CN=Microsoft Exchange If so, then someone, somewhere, somehow has at least attempted an install before. (Or it's a bug from your current install, but I doubt it). There was some posts here about this, but it was actually from an old server http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1259589&SiteID=17
