Exchange 2007 - MapiExceptionCallFailed: Unable to month database
Hey Well.. I've just restarted my Windows2003 x64 standard edition server which runs my Exchange 2007, and now its impossible to mount my mailbox database. I've got this error: http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/1484/exchangeerror8fr.jpg The state of my database is "Clean shutdown", so it should not be the database there is the problem.. My Event Viewer is clean.. All the events are "empty"... I've tried everything... Backup..Restore..Recover... Running "setup.com -prepareXXxxXXX" commands.. All with no result. Does anyone know how to mount my database? Im having a useless mailserver right now.. Thanks Kind Regards Kenneth Auchenberg

Altavista's Babelfish provides a passable translation into English (if your Portugese is a bit rusty): http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Hope this helps, good luck

Or, just take the "pt-br" off the end..... I'm having the same problem.... nothing changed.... we rebooted our exchange server to reset the remote desktop settings in terminal services (another microsoft "issue"), and when it came back up, we couldn't mount the public database. Very unimpressive. I already ran the preparead switch, and the prepare legacyexchangepermissions.... now I have to do it again... Is it really preparead or "fixad...again" On a side note, there seem to be a lot of nice linux apps that might be a good replacement for exchange... if microsoft keeps the downward trend up, I might be forced to. Doesn't microsoft realize that email is the public face of the IT dept.? Maybe Microsoft should do more testing. Maybe Microsoft shouldn't release service packs with "known issues". I think microsoft is trying too hard to push out new ideas as fast as possible. If they can't make things work the way they are supposed to, then we can't continue with their business. I think Microsoft has a lot to offer, but they aren't offering it right now.
