Exchange 2007 Calendar application
Hello
My environment is Exchange 2003/2007 SP2 and Outlook 2007 SP2 clients.
One of my business units has approached us about setting up an application that would work like this:
i. An application (users can access this via their browser) is available for our internal users held on an internal server
ii. Using this application, users can arrange meetings with each other - for instance, they select the time, other attendees etc, within the app itself
My questions:
1. Does anyone know how this would work *from an Exchange perspective*? I guess the app would send out an ical/ics file to Exchange which would then process this as a regular Calendar email?
2. Regardless of the app, whenever a user sends a Calendar invite to someone, is this always an Ical/ics file or a standard email sent by MAPI?
Is there any difference between Exchange 2003 and 2007 for the above?

Hi Wyclef1,
Could you please tell why you don't want to use Outlook Calendar to arrange the meeting?
And if you want to arrange meetings via browser, you can use OWA.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
