Exchange 2007 Creating a NoReply email
Hello Veteras,I have had a request to create a mailbox account with a no reply function. I have completed the easy part of setting up an account with the functionality of the receiver not being able to reply. Now when I try to reply to the lets call it for examples sake no.reply@goaway.comi receive the horrid undeliverable message. I am far from an exchange expert, more of a cisco guy, but evidentally in need of an exchangebrush up. What I would like is a nice bespoke message, thats pleasing, and informing the recieiver that no one is reading this message. So whats the best method guys.Thank you all in advance for your time and efforts.

If you want to simply null the replies, create a mail-enabled distribution group with no members and assign the SMTP reply address to it.The mailbox can be set up to reply with atemplate that has the DL SMTP address as theFROM:.Any replies will go backto that DL and vanish. Or use a mail-enabled public folder if you want to actually see the replies.Alternatively, look at Hub Transport rules to do some fancy redirecting of replies, etc...

Hi,
You could create a transport rule to achieve this goal. Please read the following article about how to create the rule:

You could set a transport rule like: if message sent to no.reply@goaway.com, send "your customized message" to sender with XXX.
Thanks,
Elvis
