Exchange 2007 Databases dismount every few hours, folders are found to be "read only"
We have an exchange 2007 single server environment, and after a recent database move, we find that the databases dismount every 10-14 hours or so. When this happens, the folders and files related to the databases, the logs, and the public folder store all become "read only". We moved the databases from internal storage on a Dell R710 running Windows Server 2008 (R1 Standard) SP2, and Exchange is the latest version available. The storage that the databases sit on now are ISCSI LUN's on a EMC VNXE3100. They were formatted to match the previous storage, and the move went very smoothly outside of this issue. I am collecting errors from the logs now, but nothing points to why the folders and files would get flagged as read only.

Hi, Do the event logs show any reason for dismounting the mailbox database? What's the edition of your exchange server 2007? If it is exchange 2007 standard version, please try to modify the database limitation: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232092(EXCHG.80).aspx The Exchange store process checks any database size limits periodically and dismounts a database when the size limit is reached.
