Exchange 2007 Deployment in Branch Office
We are opening a branch office very soon,so i've been trying to find out how to deploy exchange 2007 in the branch office. My current infrastructure in HQ is as following:Windows 2008 DCExchange 2007 in one box installed on windows 2008SQL 2005 on Windows 2008ISA 2006 on windows 2003I have no choice for connecting then branch office except via site to site VPN (PIX)I'll be deploying additional domain controller on the branch site as i've stuff roaming from here to there, and install exchange 2007 with mailbox in one box too. What i want is how to make emails sent directly from the branch office and not through the VPN connection and received to HQ and replicated through VPN so i'll be having OWA opened from outside through the HQ.I need help pls

Mohamed,Sending may not be an issue for mails which are send to somebody on the internet. Just create a send connector on the HUB server in the branch office and let it deliver via dns lookup/to a smarthost. Ensure that the HUB server may connect to other mailservers on port 25 by reconfiguring the firewall.Since all mail which is received from the internet will be delivered to HQ the mail will be internally relayed via the site-to-site VPN as Exchange knows it's responsible for the mail send to the specific domain. Mails for the users in the branch office will be store on the mailbox server in the branch office. For OWA have a look at this article which describes CAS proxing:http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/10/12/447266.aspxRegards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl
