Exchange 2007 Distro List / GAL problem
Looking intoa problem related to Exchange 2007, Distribution Lists, and the GAL.The basic problem is that a couple of our Universal Distribution Listsdo NOTshow up in the GAL.I looked at the properties of one of the Distro List that isn't displayed in the GAL and the checkbox for being hidden in the GAL (Under Exchange Advanced) wasn't checked, so that isn't the cause of the problem. I noticed in the aforementioned Exchange Advanced tab that thelist in questionwas using the following Administrative Group: Administrative Group: Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT). I compared that to a few Distro Lists that ARE displayed in the GAL and they have the following value: Administrative Group: First Administrative GroupThis may have something to do with migration from 2003 to 2007. Not sure. That was before my time on the job and the notes on the migration pathare pretty limited.Anyone know how to get those Distro Groups to show up in our GAL?Thank you.

In addition to Amit's, can you also check Alias whether it contains Space. Do you see any warning while executing this command on EMS. Thanks. Vishal Ramnani | MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE Messaging | MCTS - Win 2008 Config

Yes, centrally you need to find here if it is OAB issue or GAL issue. If it is OAB issue then you can see DGs in OWA or Outlook Online mode. But you can't see DGs in OWA then it is not included in GAL itself so you can troubleshootfurtheraccordingly...Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
