Sounds like network, DNS, or server issues. Everything up and running? Services started?

Yes all services are up and running. I tend to agree with you that its all network related because my exchange server and DCs are on seperate tiers. I have been having difficult times getting my networks resource guy to allow the appropriate ports but he seems to think he has done it. I got the firewall log sent to me by another team member and noticed this deny comment: 18:35:34,%FWSM-4-106023: Deny tcp src exchange:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (my exc2k7 IP)/37784 dst inside:yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy (DC IP)/3045 by access-group "aclexchange" [0x70dc7886, 0x0] 18:35:43,%FWSM-4-106023: Deny tcp src exchange:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (my exc2k7 IP)/37790 dst inside:yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy (DC IP)/50000 by access-group "aclexchange" [0x70dc7886, 0x0] I will be the most happiest man on earth if someone could guide me to usefull links regarding the appropriate ports that needs to be opened for exchange and the DCs. I am already awar of this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd789693%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx. Also what effect does this entry which was already added to my DC have on exchange communication port: Go to Component services\Computers, right-click on my computer, click on properties\default protocols, under DCOM protocol, click Connection-Oriented TCP/IP and click on properties, under port range there is a defined port range of 50000-50500. Is there any tool I can use to query all exchange 2007 required ports like portquery.exe? Thanks Isaac2k2

Hi Isaac2k2, Agree with Andy, so, kindly suggest that you could confirm the configuration with your netwok guy carefully, such as the network devices, the firewall and so on. You also use telnet to the port from each server to confirm it. Regards! gavin
