Hi, In exchange 2007, the CAS has similar feature of Exchange 2003 Front-end. In other words, CAS is equal to Front-end server but also has the difference. You can refer to the below link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232184.aspx Thus, we can deploy mailbox server+Hub Transport server on the same machine, and install CAS on another machine.
