Exchange 2007 FQDN
Our Exchange 2007 server's Fully Qualified Domain Name is server_name.domain_name.local, but our E-Mail addresses are User@Different_Domain_Name.Com. The A record points to our web site at an outside host, but the MX record points to our server. How do I configure Exchange 2007 to have a second FQDN of server_name.different_domain_name.com. (We need to have a ptr reverse lookup bring up the correct IP address.)

you dont need to rename of change your servers FQDN.simply enter the name your server want to advertise itself with on the receive and sendconnectors, sending to and receive mail from Internet. Its done on the General tab on the connectors.lasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com
