Exchange 2007 GAL question
As you know "All Address Lists" reflects the AD structure to include user accounts from all folders & subfolders (OUs). However, one user DOES show up in the GAL, and the account is in the OU=SCFUsers/SCF. When you search the GAL from Outlook 2003/2007, right corner drop down and choose SCFUsers from the "All Address List", her name cannot be found.I've compared her account against those in her department, outside of it, etc., I see nothing that sticks out. Any ideas?

Hi,You can use LDP.exe to dump the problematic user's attribute and compare it to the good user's attribute.a. Double click on LDP.exeb. Select Connection from the menu and select Connect from the drop down.c. Server dialog>Enter the Domain Controller and click OK.d. Select Connection from the menu and select Bind from the drop down.e. If logged on as an Administrator leave credentials blank and click OK out otherwise enter Administrator credentials.f. From the menu select View and from the drop down select Tree.g. Leave the Base DN blank and click OK.h. Expand the DC from the left frame.i. Double click on the CN (common name) = Usersj. Select the appropriate user we need to take an LDP dump of.k. Click Ctrl + N to clear out existing data.l. Click off user and then click back to the user to refresh new data.m. From the menu select Connection and then select Save As from the drop down menu.n. Compare the results for the two users. I figured it out. The ShowInAddressBook AD attribute was not being populated. Ran Exchange cmdlet to force policy update against the account and it worked.
