Exchange 2007 Hub Transport Installation & Coexistence

Hello,

I have to install a exchange server 2007 with hub transport role with client access on same server and I have some questions.

I read a few articles but I'm not sure with folder installation for logs and binaries.

How do I have to install hub transport and CAS role? Exchange installation on local disk and logs file on another disk? What's the best practices or what do you advise?

I have one server Exchange 2007 SP1 with all roles, mailbox, cas, hub. Can I install this new server with Exchange 2007 SP3?

Thanks.
