Exchange 2007 Instant Messaging
Is there a way to use instant messaging in Exchange 2007. I have read about integration options such as Windows Live Messenger but I was wondering if there was a way to do only internal IM between Active Directory users through Exchange. I want to avoid having people sign up for external accounts.

Leif,Thanks. I actually have OCS 2007 and I'm working on configuring it. Can I set it up to do internal instant messaging within our network only?Dan

For the question about Office Communication Server configuration, please use OCS Setup & Deployment forum which would be the best place for such questions Resources: Office Communications Server

To do external instant messaging, you'd need to deploy an OCS Edge server which would be an additional server to deploy. If you've only deployed a single OCS server then your users will only be able to do internal instant messaging anyway.Neil Hobson, Exchange MVP
