Exchange 2007 Last Logged on by: calendar
On the properties of a users mailbox, under the general tab I have noticed other user accounts are shown in the "Last Logged on by:" field. I have done some testing and noticed that when a user creates a meeting request and invites another user (within the same Exchange organisation) then checks the "Scheduling" tab to see if the invited user has some free time to schedule in the meeting, Exchange Management Console (EMC) displays the organisers account in the General tab under Last Logged on by: of the invited users mailbox. This seems to confuse alot of people intio thinking that someone has ilegally accessed someone elses mailbox. My question is does anyone know if microsoft has an article explaining what senarios would indicate another users account in the Last Logged on by: filed other than the owner?BestRegard

Old article, but the concepts still apply:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/867640How to monitor mailbox access by auditing or by viewing Mailbox Resources in Exchange ServerFor a better way to monitor access, apply Exch 2007 SP2:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee221156.aspx Understanding Mailbox Access Auditing with Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2

Hi, I do think that it is a normal behavior. I would like to explain that in Exchange 2007/Outlook 2007 environment, when meeting organizer attempts to retrieve other's Free/Busy information, the Availablity service need to open attendee's calendar folder to gather Free/Busy information. For your reference: What does Exchange 2007 Availability Service do?http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/10/23/429296.aspxThanks,Mike
