Exchange 2007 Live Server Died
Hi everyone,
My Exchange 2007 production server has just died.
Am sure it is something I have done but need advice before I go any further.
Firstly just for maintenance reasons: I performed Windows Updates and installed:
KB941569, KB942763, KB943460, KB944563,
KB941568, KB941202, KB936021, KB933729,
KB932596, KB921503, KB936782
Secondly: I wanted Exchange SP1:
The upgrade toSP1 for Exchangesaid I should have .net framework 2 SP1.
I had .net framework 2 but didn't have SP1 and couldn't get it to install. I also had.net 3 so uninstalled thisto see ifI could installed SP1 for .net 2. This didn't work.
I successfully uninstalled .net framework 3, butstill cannot instal SP1 for .net framework 2.
**When I run a repair on .net framework 2 it says:
Error 1324. The folder path 'Program Files' contains an invalid character.
**When I try and open EMC on the server it says:
MMC could not create snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly.
Name: Exchange Server 2007
CLSID: FX: {76dd58f-54ba-42e3-a2e0-dbf4b674539f}
Needless to say email is not getting to or from my server.................
Thanks all in advance for any advice

All sorted. Needed to use the Windows Cleaner Utility to remove .net framework and then reinstall .net 2 and 3 from scratch. all fixed now.
