Exchange 2007 MRM notification email
I'm getting started with Exchange 2007 and setting up managed folder policies to move old email from certain folders to a system cleanup folder and delete old items from the system cleanup folder. I would like this to work very similar to the Exchange 2003 Mailbox Management feature. My questions to get it to work the same are:1. Is there a way to use a Managed Custom Folder that does not get created under a folder named Managed Folders? I would like to use the System Cleanup folder that was created by Exchange 2003.2. Can I configure the Managed Folder Assistant to send a summary email to each user after their mailbox is processed rather than just moving their mail and not telling them.Thank you,Dave

i wish someone from microsoft would reply. i have the same questions. also i want to know how to have it send an alert to an administrator or a distribution group so that an administrator can know it ran overnight as opposed to just trusting it.

I would also like to know the answer to this question.I have setup policies through MRM and have it working now, but would like it to notify admins when it completes the process. I cannot believe they would remove this feature from 2007. Please advise when there is a solution.

Read over this discussion, http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/exchangesvradmin/thread/a9454af3-a011-44e7-8d9b-f190ed13cebf/. They talk about the event id's that are logged when it completes as well as how to turn up the logging for MRM.ThanksWillWill Shepherd - MCSE/MCITP/MCTS (Windows 2008,Exchange 2007,OCS 2007)
