Exchange 2007 POP 3
For some reason I cant get the settings right for the pop3 on ports 995 and 110; seems like it works on the 110 and 25 but wont work on 995; does anyone have the steps to do this?

Hi, Did you have a look at below article? http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/mobility-client-access/using-pop3-imap4-access-exchange-2007-part1.html and part2 embedded. Thanks.

Also, if you send out with smtp, is there a way to secure this?

As stated in the two-part article Vishal refers to, "Using POP3 and IMAP4 to Access Exchange 2007" on MSExchange.org, the default receive connector on the Hub Transport server expects you to connect on port 587 and establish a secure TLS connection. The article mentions a known issue with Outlook Express:"If you are trying the above with Outlook Express 6 or earlier, then you will have a problem setting the SMTP server to use SSL/TLS over port 587. The problem is that Outlook Express can only negotiate explicit TLS over port 25."There is a fix for this:A mail program cannot connect to an Exchange Server 2007 server by using SSL over SMTP port 587http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933612MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M | Small Business Specialist
