Why do my log file keep filling up with Event Type: Information Event Source: PowerShell Event Category: (6) Event ID: 601 Date: 11/9/2011 Time: 7:01:29 AM User: N/A Computer: HAMMILL-MAIL1 Description: The description for Event ID ( 601 ) in Source ( PowerShell ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. Hi Jesse, I have run into a issue like yours, the workaround: Delete the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\PowerShell", And then reboot the server. Which version exchange do you use? I would suggest that you could update it with the latest update firstly. Note if you delete the registry, please export it for backup, then we could restore it. If the issue still exists, Please post more information such log for it, then could do more research. Regards!
