I installed 2007 with an Exchange 2003 server talking to each other. Eveything talks between the 2 servers but on the 2007 server it's missing the Public Folder Database.edb under the second storage group. I can go in with ASDI and blow it out manually and recreate it but it still doesnt create the edb file. I also wiped the server clean and the AD and started with a fresh install and it still doesn't create the edb file for the public folder. What's missing? I've been working on this for several days now and am at wits end. Thanks in advance, John

In event viewer get event ID 9519 Error 0x8004010f starting database "Second Storage Group\a60d12f3-a648-45a1-8fdf-ec7d4531c190" on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store. And Event ID 9518 Error 0x8004010f starting Storage Group /DC=sf/DC=mwf/CN=Configuration/CN=Services/CN=Microsoft Exchange/CN=MWF/CN=Administrative Groups/CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/CN=Servers/CN=MWF-MAIL1/CN=InformationStore/CN=Second Storage Group on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store. MDB failed to start. If anyone else has seen this let me know.

Well finally placed call to MS Support. Turned out to be a permission on the Folder hierchy on the Public folders in 2003. Had to add Exchange Servers to the permissions and give it everything but Full and Write. now it mounts!

I'm having a similar issue...... PF Database will not mount, Event 9518 9519...... PF can't be deleted with a "publicfolderhierarchy" error...... Looks like a permission issue, can you give me procedure you used with MS Support..... Thanks
