Exchange 2007 Public Folder Recovery Problem
Hello,
I'm running an Exchange 2007 SP1 mail environment with most users running Outlook 2007 as their mail client. I have a user who deleted a public folder calendar from the Public Folder view in Outlook 2007. The public folder is viewable in Recover Deleted Items when accessed while All Public Folders is highlighted/selected. We continue to receive a permissions error when trying to recover this calendar that states:
"Outlook was unable to recover some or all of the items in this folder. Make sure you have the required permissions to recover items in this folder, and try again."
I'm almost positive the user who deleted the public folder has Owner permissions for it, and she receives this error. I'm a member of the Exchange Public Folder Administrators group in Active Directory, which I believe gives me full control over all public folders, and I also receive the error. I also can't check/adjust the permissions on this public folder because it's been "deleted", even though the retention time hasn't expired. Am I missing something? I'd like to recover it without having to do a restore from a previous backup. Is there no way for this public folder to be recovered from Recover Deleted Items, even though it is listed there?
Thank you very much for your help and advice.

Hi,
Try with PFDavAdmin to recover it and if it gives same error then give permission with it on the folder and subfolders and try again..

Supplement:
After restore deleted public folder on PFDAVAdmin, if you still cannot see items in there. Try to remove Item-level permissions:
a. Right-click deleted public folder
b. Select Remove item-level permission
