Exchange 2007 Public Folders Drag/Drop Behaviour
We recently migrated from SBS2003 to SBS2008, which wasn't without an issue or two even following the MS documentation!During the migration there was an error with the public folder migration which we never cured at the time. Afterwards we realised that the list of public folders we had on the old server were there, but we were unable to actually access the folders and looking at the size of public folders it indicated that only the structure was there with no content. We deleted the public folders and re-imported them from a PST backup we had.All the folders and contents are now in place and accessible.Since the migration I have noticed that the behaviour of the public folders appears to have changed from the 2003 server. If I drag/dropan email into a public folder from my inbox then the item is move/copied in that it disappears from my inbox and shows in the public folder. (Which is what I expected)If I then decide that I have drag/dropped the item into the wrong folder or wish to move it, if I drag/drop the itemto a new folder it creates a copy in the other folder but leaves the item in the old folder. If I repeat the drag/drop I get multiple copies of the item in the new folder. I have OWNER permissions on the folders and have the folders set to move/copy on drag/drop.Is this the default behaviour of Exchange 2007?Any help or advice woiuld be appreciated.Kind regardsIain

Per my knowledge, the behavior is expected; I tested in the local lab (Exchange 2007 SP1)
I can also reproduce the behavior in the exchange 2003 SP2 as well
