Exchange 2007 Public Folders Permissions
Hi
I created a Public Folder under the root of the public folder database on Exchange 2007, with psh command "new-publicfolder".
Then, I assigned the permission PublishingEditor to a user on that folder, with the command:
Add-PublicFolderClientPermission -identity "\folder" -user "xxx" -AccessRights "PublishingEditor" .
When the user click on that folder in Outlook 2007 and tries to create a subfolder, he receives the error :
"Cannot create the folder. You do not have sfficient permission to perform this operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system administrator".
I verified the permissions with "get-publicfolderclientpermission" and also in the properties of the folder in Outlook 2007, and they are reported correctly.
Where's the mistake?
Thank you

Install ESM 2003 on a different server and verify the rights with ESM.

I verified the rights with powershell, with Outlook 2007 and also with PFDAVadmin : all this tools say the same thing : PublishingEditor for that user on that folder.
I even have to install ESM2003? I would want to avoid this, possibly...

I have an issue that is comparable to the one from JoeJoe.I performed a migration of a SBS 2003 server to a standard W2003 installation with Exchange 2007 installed. This was necessary because the client had a 2nd site that needed to be integrated into his AD.So I created a PF and imported the PST to the PF. Every user in the company had "Owner" rights set to his account since the needed to be able to edit everything. Unfortunatly, this only worked for new items. The imported items could not be altered.Recently a collegue introduced me to PFDAV admin and I used this to correct some issues on the PF. I removed all the users and gave the "everyone" group full control (owner rights). Unfortunatly this still doesn't solve the issue. Is someone familiar with such a problem?Marc
