Exchange 2007 Public Folders and Outlook 2003 permissions.
I have an odd instance where a user is not able to see certain public folders. Outlook 2003 client, Exchange 2007 SP rollup8 server. They have owner permissions to the folder which was done using the command shell. This user has owner permissions to the folder but can't see it. Now I change the default permissions to the folder to make the folder visible and now they can see it. Using Outlook 2007 the user can see the folder fine and nothing is wrong. This is the strangest thing I have seen especially since changing default permissions affects the user but not his individual name. Could it be his account within AD or Exchange itself? Thanks Aaron

Check info: 1. Quote: Using Outlook 2007 the user can see the folder fine and nothing is wrong Do you mean that if user1 has the Owner permission on publicfolder1, he can see the folder via outlook 2007, but not outlook 2003? 2. Quote: changing default permissions affects the user but not his individual name I do not quite understand the words above, could you describe more? 3. Does the issue occur to any other outlook 2003 users? 4. Have you tried to reproduce the issue with problematic users account on a clean test PC?
