Exchange 2007 Quota on Database or User
I know you can set the quota on the Database level or Individual mailbox level. Our administrator wants to set mailbox quota's for every user individually.
What is the best practise? and what are the pros and cons of setting the limits per mailbox rather then from the database?
Thanks

If you are setting the limits on each user individually then you increase the admin. Personally where possible I prefer to set it at the database level and have multiple databases. If a user gets an increased limit then they are moved in to another database.
There is no technical reason that I can think of for doing it one way or another - it just comes down to management.
Easy to miss an individual.
If you do decide to set it individually, also set the largest size on the database as well, so that everyone gets a default size. Then restrict down. For example, if you decide the largest mailbox will be 500mb, then that is what is set on the database.
Then everyone else is set 500mb or less.

Hi Berket,
It really depends on your situation.
If you need to set different mailbox size for different people individule is fit for you. But like Sembee mentioned, much administration work will come up.
If you want to decrease some work and don't need so specific size configuration you can use database lever.
Meanwhile, you can combine these two ways together to meet your requirement.
Best Regards!
