Whenever I restart my Exchange 2007, the following services does not start although they are set to Automatic: Microsoft Exchange Anti-spam Update Microsoft Exchange Edge Sync Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Assistant Microsoft Exchange Replication Services Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer Microsoft Exchange Service Host Microsoft Exchange Transport Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search This is a fresh installation on Exchange 2007 SP1 on Windows Server 2008 with Exchange 2003 coexistance. When I attempt to start those services manually I receive an error message. The services will start only if I start Service Host and then start other services.

Have you installed all Windows/Exchange updates to this machine? You said you get an error - what is it? What roles have you installed to the Exchange 2007 server?

Yes, both exchange/windows are patched up-to-date. The error is:The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. This server has the hub tansport and mailbox rules.
