Exchange 2007 Setup /PrepareDomain Fails on one Domain
Ive updated the AD forest schema and prepared the Exchange organization for Exchange 2007. I ran the following commands fromour root DC using the Exchange 2007 SP2 32bit binaries
o Setup /PrepareLegacyExchangePermissions - ok
o Setup /PrepareSchema - ok
o Setup /PrepareAD /OrganizationName:TEST - ok
o Setup /PrepareDomain:asia.com - ok
o Setup /PrepareDomain:china.com - ok
When I attempt to run Setup /PrepareDomain:india.com fails with the following error that a domain controller in theindia domain could not be contacted.I then attempt to run Setup /PrepareDomain:india.com under the India domain controllers but I am getting this error ->
Prepare Domain Progress ......................... FAILED
Active Directory operation failed on rootDC.com. This error is
not retriable. Additional information: The specified user does not exist.

Hi,
Please manually add the Exchange Install Domain Servers group from the child domain as a member of the Exchange servers group in the root domain.After that, please run setup /preparedomain:<fqdn of child domain> again.
