Exchange 2007 Setup Guidance
I am with a samll business - rougly 30 mailboxes now to a growth of about 50 within a year to a year and half - 2 years.
I have a single server at my disposal for Exchange 2007
It is a 2 processor server - each processor Xeon Dual Core 3.0 GHz (to make 4 core processors). 4 GB of RAM (wanting to get up to 8 GB at least - the server can hold 16 GB)
and 6 Ultra 320 SCSI 73 GB HDs for 438 GB Raw total.
I am planning to put all 4 server roles on the single server.
I debating on using Raid 1/0 instead of Raid 5.
What would be my best storage configuration and what size - sizes should I make the array (how for for the OS and Exchange - how much for the mailboxes, etc.)
Any guidance or thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi,
There is a very powerful tool Exchange 2007 Mailbox Server Role Storage Requirements Calculator in our Exchange Team blog.

All you need to do is type your settings in the sheet, it will give you a very detail result. I am sure you will love it. J
