Hi Exchange LoadGenerator does not account for all factors that may be required for a complete server testing scenario. The following factors can not be simulated by the Microsoft Exchange Load Generator: Incoming Spam from the Internet is not part of the Loadgen process Incoming SMTP traffic from the Internet Non MAPI protocols such as IMAP4, POP3 Microsoft Exchange Server Stress and Performance Tool (ESP) The ESP tool cannot create user accounts. Therefore, to create a test that involves simulating actual individual users, and not only client sessions, we recommend that ESP be used with other tools that can create user accounts (for example, Exchange Load Generator). ESP should be used only in a test environment that is not connected to the production environment. ESP simulates users who are using non-MAPI protocols, also known as Internet protocols. ESP cannot simulate MAPI stress. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb508893(v=exchg.80).aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb508970(v=exchg.80).aspx TechNet Subscriber Support in forum If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com Terence Yu TechNet Community Support
