Exchange 2007 User Connection Limit Reached
hi,
i have a problem with a user connecting via imap. the error is:
NO LOGIN failed."";RpcL=-1;LdapL=-1;Msg=UserConnectionLimitReached"
i cannot seem to find much information about the "userconnectionlimit reached".
if it is the same as the "maximum connections from a single user" option, it is currently set to 10.
should these connections timeout as per auth/unauth connection timeouts? the user has waited to connect for several days and we still see the same error (client machine is just asking for password over and over)
any ideas?

Hi,
The error you provided seems like protocal log.
Could you please provide other kinds of error message like event log or error when the user is connecting with Imap.
Is there only one user encounter this problem?
Thanks.Best Regards!

yes it is only happening with one user, and does not happen when they use active sync, just imap
what other information should i look for from event log? any ideas at this point?
cheers

Hi,
The error you gave is not that useful for investigation.
You can check event log and post any related error or warning message.
Thanks.Best Regards!

thanks rowan. ill try to get the log and copy any errors or warnings here.
do you think 'userconnectionlimit reached' is not the issue with the client connecting? i am unsure about how to interpret that.
i also have a copy of the log from the imap client (thunderbird) in case it provides any clues:
