Exchange 2007 and Outlook Anywhere
I am having a problem with Outlook Anywhere and a new install of Exchange 2007 on a Windows 2008 Server SP2. The only way I can get Outlook Anywhere (RCP over HTTP) to work with external PCs (not joined to the domain) is if I first either a) bring them into the network internally and setup Outlook or b) connect to the network via the VPN and setup Outlook. Once Outlook is setup a sees the user and Exchange server name, I can add the information under Exhcange Proxy Settings, then try from home or disconnect the VPN and it works fine. We are not using a selfsigned certificiate (we purchaed one through godaddy.com.) The error that comes up when trying to connect to the mailbox after putting in the login credentials is "The connection to the Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action"

Is port 443 open on your firewall and pointing to your Exchange 2007 server? Where is your AutodiscoverInternalUrl and ExternalURL pointing too?MVP Exchange Server

HiThanks for all the suggestions. I created an autodiscover.mydomain.com but what seem to fix it was when i created an SRV record _autodiscover._tcp.mydomain.comThese were both created on the external DNS (at netsol.com) that host my domain. Thanks again.Mike
