When doing database portability, you will want to create a new target database with the same name as the old. Then dismount, delete/move the database, and copy over your old database and make sure it has the same name as the old database. In Exchange Console, make sure you go into the properties of the database and ensure that the database can be restored/overwritten. Then, you should be able to mount the database.MVP | MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator | MCTS: OCS + Voice Specialization | http://www.shudnow.net

You only want to bring over the database and not the logs. The logs from the source will be a different log stream. Try copying over just the database and then replacing the new database with the database you copied from your source. Then try mounting that.MVP | MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator | MCTS: OCS + Voice Specialization | http://www.shudnow.net

Hi, For decimal -530 / hex 0xfffffdee = JET_errBadLogSignature Please double check that all the log files and checkpoint file for the target storage group has been moved to another temp folder. In addition, would you please post the related Event log here for further check? Mike Shen TechNet Subscriber Support in forum If you have any feedback on our support, please contact EMAIL REMOVED
