Exchange 2007 forward incoming and outgoing email to another mailbox
In exchange 2007 is there any way other than journaling to forward incoming and outgoing emailsto another mailbox plus send it to the original mailbox? Journaling creates an attachment which is not desired by the user.ThanksRich

You can accomplish this with transport rules. They are basically like out look rules, but are server side instead of client side.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998860.aspx

You have to create two Transport Rules on Hub Transport Server with below condition and action to copy all incoming and outgoing mails... 1. For incoming mails. Action: To People Condition:Copy the message to addresses 2. For outgoing mails. Action: From People Condition:Copy the message to addresses References: Understanding How Transport Rules Are Applied in an Exchange 2007 Organization http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996585.aspx Exchange 2007 Transport Rules & Disclaimer http://exchangeshare.wordpress.com/2008/05/17/exchange-2007-transport-rules-disclaimer/Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA, MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Does the priority have anything to do with this? I'm going to have multiple mailboxes which one or morewill be sending to - example - joe@company.com forward copy to archie@company.com. Then have another rule which has joe@company.com and jane@company.com copy to owner@company.com. And so on, could get complex. Thanks for your help.So far so good.Rich

hi,If you configure multiple conditions on the same transport rule, all the conditions must be met for the transport rule to apply the configured action to a particular e-mail message. When you specify multiple values on a single condition, if one or more of the values are matched, the condition is satisfied. For example, if an e-mail message has the subject Stock price information, and the SubjectContains condition on a transport rule is configured to match the words Contoso and stock, the condition is satisfied because the subject contains at least one of the values of the conditionIf you configure multiple exceptions on the same transport rule, only one exception must be matched for the transport rule action to be excluded from being applied to an e-mail message. When you specify multiple values on a single exception, if one or more of the values are matched, the exception is satisfied. For example, if an e-mail message has the subject Stock price information, and a transport rule uses the SubjectContains exception, which is configured to match the words Contoso and stock, the exception is satisfied because the subject contains at least one of the values of the exception. for mote detailed information ; http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124703.aspxregards,Mumin CICEK | Exchange - MVP | www.cozumpark.com | www.mumincicek.com
