Exchange 2007 freezes when logging in via RDP
At my new job I logged in to the Exchange 2007 server via RDP for the first time. The RDP connection displayed a black screen and then exchange became unresponsive. I could ping the server but could not connect to it with Computer Manager or use command
line utilities to see if my RDP connection was active. All clients continued to work and were able to communicate with the server. A few users did not have Outlook running at the time and those users were unable to connect to the Exchange server. My outlook
session continued to work so I closed outlook and reopened at which point i could no longer connect to exchange.
Rebooting the server resolved the issue but I have never seen an RDP connection kill a server. Anyone ever experience this issue? Any idea what to look for? I have worked with Exchange 2007 for a few years and have never experienced this issue. I checked
the event logs and nothing obvious was logged at the time the server crashed.
Any input appreciated.
Thanks.

thanks for the suggestion. Our exchange server is running on VMware 4.1. I have downloaded the correct video driver and need to install and test.Philip T
