Hello
Any issues with installing Exchange 2007 Beta in my AD 2003 forest for teting purposes? also is there an AD functional level that AD needs to be in before Exchagne 2007 can be installed? i.e Windows 2003 Native for example
Thanks

You should only install Exchange Server 2007 Beta to in your lab for testing purposes, if oyu're not participating in either the TAP or RDP.
Exchange Server 2007 requires the ActiveDirectory domain functional level is Windows2000Server native or higher.

I would not install beta 2 in proution forest, as there are AD schema updates and other such AD changes that may not make it to release causing you issues in the future, set yourself up with a test lab and have fun :)

Exchange 2007 Beta will install schema extensions, so installing into your production forest isn't recommended at this time. And yes, Exchange 2007 does require a domain functional level of Windows 2000 Native at a minimum. The product has a pre-req to this effect, and will let you know if your mode is not correct.

Hi,
We are just about to install Exchange 2007on Windows 2003 in a Windows 2000 native mode infrastructure.
We have noticed in our test lab that the system moans about still being in 2k native mode rather than 2003 native mode.
Is there any impacts or issuesetc created if we leave the system in 2000 native mode when is goes live for the near future?
We can't upgrade to 2003 native mode at this time,as we have some legacy systems that need to be upgraded etc.
Thanks for your time
