Exchange 2007 install on a 2008 domain
I have seen another question like this, but there was no solution given. I’m setting up a test environment for selective journaling. I have setup 2 VMs, 1 is Server 2008 – this is the dc. The other server is 2003x64, this is where I’m installing Exchange 2007. I’m doing a ‘Typical Installation type’. Organization Prerequisites complete fine Hub and Transport fail with “Cannot find at least one global catalog server running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or later in the local Active Directory site.” Client Access Role fails with the same Mailbox Role fails with the same

Hi,When we start to setup exchange server, it will try to run a readiness scan by ExBPA. If your exchange setup media is available before windows server 2008 release date, then the configuration in Exbpa.pre-req.xml and Exbpa.readiness.xml cannot recognize the version of windows server 2008. I recommend you to install exchange server 2007 with sp2. The fix for installation of Exchange 2007 SP2 with Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controllers is now available. http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/09/15/452494.aspx Regards, Xiu

Ok, didn't appear that sp2 was out of beta, it isn't available on my technet download page. so I d/l and started the install of exchange 2007 with sp1 - this is working fine no gc problems. So, I guess I should upgrade to sp2 as soon as the install completes. Already in the middle before I checked back here.
