Exchange 2007 missing drive space
The drive that contains my mail and Public Folders databases is missing 150 gigs of space. The drive shows free space as 57.9 gigs out of 272 gigs, but the usage is accually 53.9 gigs. Has anyone else had this problem or is there something that uses space that is hidden? I haveturned off the "Hidden Files and folders"andthe "Hide protected operating system files"options to see if something was hidden using the missing storage. The drive in question is local attached storage and is in a RAID 5 set.I am using Exchange 2007 SP1.Gaylon MCP, MCSA, MCTS, A+, Network+

Usually it should show files if you have mark show hidden and protected OS files... Do you haveWindows resource kitutility installed? If so, you can use diruse command to get breakup directories size recursively which are more than 200MB in size and later we can identify which dir is occupying more space... diruse syntax:diruse /S /M /D /q:200 c:\ Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Whats the status of exchange server? Is it running normally? Is there any error event in the application log on the exchange server? Please run the ExBPA against the exchange server for a health check

It looks like E:\System Volume Information is using 165407.96 which is the missing drive space. Any idea why this would be?GaylonGaylon MCP, MCSA, MCTS, A+, Network+

I have looked further into System Volume Information folder and I what I see looks like VSS information that seems to correspond with my daily backups. Is it OK to remove that information? I googled the System Information folder and came up with some hit dealing with XP and System Restores.GaylonGaylon MCP, MCSA, MCTS, A+, Network+
