Exchange 2007 on a windows 2003 evaluation edition
Hi, I have installed exchange 2007 in a windows 2003 trial version and it is expiring and since I cannot upgrade the trial to licensed, can I take ntbackup of entire system state and restore to another server which is identical to the first one. So, I would like to perform the following action : 1. Install windows 2003 in the second server and do all upgrade 2. Install AD 3. Isolate server from network and do ntbackup restore from the first one Is this will restore my exchange into the same shape or not ? Exchange is also published through OWA and outlook anywhere throuhg ISA server, is this work or not When I restore completely or I will get a same trail version Please advise me all the above questions >> Jinesh KumarJinesh

There are a few problems with the order of your plan. You should just take a non-eval copy of the Windows cd (ideally with SP2 integrated) and run an "upgrade" booting from the non-eval cd will let you repair/upgrade the installation. once complete, it will no longer be eval and all software will stay intact.Mike Crowley: MCT, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Messaging Administrator
