Hi We are running exchange 2007, with Outlook 2003 clients. We extensively use public folders, for example one of our public folders contains 60,000 emails. Our users are encouraged to move any old emails into the public folders. However when they try and search this folder (using advanced search) it takes a long time, and sometimes causes outlook to crash. Is there anything that can be done to improve searching performance on public folders with so many emails? I understand with Exchange 2003 there was a function for indexing, however this never worked for me. Thanks

I wouldn't use public folders as an archive, myself. They're hard to administer and control. Hi We have setup 500MB mailboxes for everyone , so people do not have the capicity to leave these emails in their mailbox.
