Exchange 2007 send from issues
HiAll,We are currently preparingan exchange 2007 server for deployment sometime in the early new year. One of the biggest sticking points with management is this;a. you have a distribution list(distro@domain.com) with members- when a member receives the message and replies, it automatically uses the personal email address of that user (user@domain.com)i know you can use the From field and apply 'send as' permissions for the appropriate users for that distro list but is therea way (built in, or 3rd party) to automatically have exchange use the email address the message was sent to as the 'from' address when replying. You would think that an exchange setup would already be smart enough to do this with a simple setting, but i can't find one.Anybody else run into this and have a suggestion?ThanksColin

Hi,There is no built-in feature that can do this. I have never heard of such a requirement - would you mind sharing with us why you would want the senderof an e-mail to be the sender again when someone replies toa mail?Leif

Hi Colin,There isn't any built-in way to automatically select the same DL in From field when user sends a reply to a mail which was sent to a DLand user has to select it in From filed manually while he/she replies.I couldn't find any third-party tool which satisfy your requirement but you may contact toIVASoft which has some nice tools for Outlook/Exchange if they can provide some solution by combining couple of their tools.Amit Tank || MVP - Exchange || MCITP - Exchange 2007 || http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
