Exchange 2007 temp removal of Xcompany while Zcompany uses
Hind sight being 20/20 now, we realize a mistake by setting up the exchange 2007 server with Xcompany and Zcompany mailboxes, etc. The exchange is NOT in use, but duing testing we realized if Zcompany sends an email to someone within Xcompany it never leaves the exchange server. Any way to work around this without having to remove 150 users? Thinking this is something simple, we just can't seem to find. Objective is to send the email(s) to Xcompany user(s) which currently are on a linux based operating system. Thanks

Hi,If you change the accepted domain to an internal relay domain, change the e-mail address policy to something different than xcompany and create a send connector to point to the unix based mail system it should work.Leif

Hello, Please make sure you have removed Xcompany form accepted domains (EMC | Organization Congiguration | Hub Transport accepted domains). You said the mails failed to deliver, what's the NDR, could you paste it here? Thanks, Elvis

Hi, Please go to EMC | Organization Configuration | Hub Transport | Email address policies, remove the policy which associated with Xcompany. Then try to remove Xcompany from accepted domain again. If the issue persists, please let us know it stopped at which queue and the last error of this queue(EMC | Toolbox | Queue viewer). Thanks, Elvis
