Exchange 2010/2013 Mail Flow not working

Hi,

I am moving from Exchange 2010 to 2013.  I am on all the latest service packs for both so coexist is supported.

When I setup my Exchange 2013 environment all settings moved over properly and are working.  One thing that I haven'tbeen able to get to work though is mail flow.  I am trying to send email from one mail server to the other, on the same LAN/Domain.  I thought I had the send/receive connectors correct.

The new Exchange 2013 server is not setup to relay mail to the internet yet because I don't have the NAT policies setup.

What is the proper configuration of the connectors to test mail flow between servers?

My Setup: Exchange 2010 - Mailbox Server, UM Server, CAS Server

Exchange 2013: Mailbox/UM Server, CAS Server

Send Connector --> Send to Internet --> added the Exchange 2013 Mailbox role to this

Receive Connector --> Default Frontend Connector for the Exchange 2013 CAS Server --> Port 25 for all IP addresses.

Good Morning,

Where is the mail being queued? Which queue? What's the error saying?

Get-Queue Server | Sort-Object -Property Messagecount | FT Identity, DeliveryType, NextHopDomain, Status, MessageCount, LastRetryTime, LastError -autosize

Can you send mail from Exchange 2013 to Exchange 2010?

Create a Receive connector on the Exchange 2010 server, with the IP's of the 2013 servers. With the authentication of Exchange Server.

I'm pretty sure the Queue's should tell you where the issue is.

Hello,

Please make sure whether you install exchange 2010 Hub transport server. If you have installed it, please verify whether the mail flow between exchange 2010 and exchange 2013 is ok.

If not, you need to install Hub transport server. Otherwise, there will be a mail flow issue.

If you cant send message to internet, I recommend you use message tracking to trace your messages.
