Exchange 2010 & Outlook Anywhere Setup
Hi everyone, I have a nonprofit customer that will be getting 2 new servers and has 2 remote locations.
The 2 servers are going to be Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise Server and 1 will have Exchange 2010. The company will have 20 users in house and could reach up to 30 users outside of the office.
The 1st server is going to be the main active directory server (Domain Controller, File Sharing, Print Sharing…..) the second server will be the Exchange 2010 server.
Both servers hardware is configured to do virtualization and was going to run Remote Desktop on the main server virtually.
I will have a SSL Certificate for multiple domains UCC for the Exchange Server.
My goal is to have the remote users connect to the Exchange Server by setting up Outlook Anywhere.
My question is what is the best structure that I should use to achieve this securely with the number of users that I’m working with?

Just enable Outlook Anywhere on Exchange, open port 443 and leave it at that. For the number of users doing anything else is a waste of resources. The only alternative method would be to deploy another server with TMG (aka ISA Server) to publish Outlook
Anywhere.
