Hi Revo, If you are not in DAG, You may try this. 1. Dismount the Mailbox database. 2. Clear all the Log files manually once. ( or move them to temp folder) 3. Mount the database again. 4. Try to take a Full backup again. All the Best :) Sathish Kumar Elango | MCSE 2003 & MCSA Messaging | http://msexchangehelp.wordpress.com

Isn't deleting or moving the logs a bad idea?

Hi,Please try to use get-exchangedatabase |fl *backup to check the database backupstatus. Also we may need to dismount the database and then use Eseutil/mh to check the header of a database. Please try to follow the steps in article below to check and remove the log.Note: Please carefully move the log to another location. I HAVE a similar issue with vss errors and backups failing (they are all windows full backups to a network share). I see a reference to KB about manuallydeleting the log files but the kb refers to exchange 5.5,2000, and 2003 - is this procedure the same for exchange 2010 sp1 ? 19 Oct 2010 05:54:26 PM Monitor: [Event Log Monitor] (Type=Event Log Monitor) Description: * Event Time: 19 Oct 2010 05:40:18 PM * Source: MSExchangeIS * Event Log: Application * Type: Error Event * Event ID: 9782 * Exchange VSS Writer (instance 2d6780b2-f779-47c8-aa7d-5bd09210c7b0:15) has completed the backup of database 'Public Folder Database 1936346635' with errors. I checked my log files & they appear to be all from today so I don't think that is my issue. checking the backup log the error says "not enough server storage is available to process this command". but the log and database files each have at least 110% free space,as does the destination share so I am having difficulty seeing where the problem is. the exchange backup is around 100 GB and always fails around 90-95% of the way through the database backup
